Sundays are for photo shoots

Last Sunday we had this awesome photo shoot. The weather as warm and sunny so it was perfect for us to drive to a near by forest with a jogging trail. 

People were little confused with us carrying an armchair to a forest. And also because we had to change the clothes in every few minutes. We also had some other minor problems like heels sinking to the soft forest ground.

All photos were taken by Marjo Hakala. I can't wait to take pictures with her again. 

Models were me and my lovely friends Tii and Disa.

Also BIG thanks to my armchain for being awesome model. 

I was finally able to get it done after 2 years of stating the project.

All the clothes were by me and some of the accessories. I think the pictures look really good and I had so share them really quickly with you guys.

Ready for winter

I made this winter coat few days ago. I just did not have the time to post about it. It has been unfinished project for few weeks now since I had lots of other things to do. Like new photo shoots today.

The black parts are real leather that I bought from Eurokangas Outlet. I think it was 50 €/kg. I like the contrast between the grey wool and the black leather. I wanted to make a mega big collar. The zippers are just a little extra I added afterwards so not actual pockets.

Peplum belt

For a while now I've wanted to have at least one peplum garment. It did not matter to me if it were a dress or a top. So I ended up making this belt type so that I can wear it on top of a dress.

I bought the "faux leather" from Ebay. The fabric ended up being quite different than I had thought. It was more like a scuba fabric with a leather look type coating on top. That is always the risk when ordering fabric from the internet. You can never know how thick or how descending the fabric really is. Well I was able to make this as I had planned anyways.

I don't know if I'm ever going to use this since my hip bones are really wide so with this peplum belt my hips look a bit exaggerated. I don't care I really wanted one.

Bag lady

 Lots of new items again! I wanted to make something which is not a garment so that you can have some kind of Rogue product always with you. I will list these to Etsy for you to buy or you can buy them directly by contacting me or buy them from Ateljeekatu shop that is located here in Tampere.

Finally I made this Ouija themed hand bag. I made one few months ago and I wanted to make a bigger version that you can actually fit something inside.

I have only 1 available with this kind of ball chain detail so if you want it you really need to be fast. I'm going to make more but they will look slightly different because the chain will be slightly different kind. The fabric is cotton and the print is in silver so that it goes better with the silver closure and chain. 

This bag is so amazing that I feel sad to sell it. I better make one for me asap. 

Price: 105 € + shipping

 There is one pocket inside where you can put your keys or cell phone.

 I also made these coin purses. They are big enough to fit your bank card, money, keys or anything you want to use it for. These measure 12 cm in width and 14 cm in height.

They are 18 € a piece + shipping

And then I have these bigger purses for make up and other things to carry around in your bag. These measure 18 cm in width and 17 cm in height. 

They are 22 € + shipping a piece.

Caged

Finally I got to post pictures of my caged project. I made the dress almost 2 months ago but I wanted to post about it along with the top. 

I found this cool fabric from Abakhan fabrics which is located at Estonia. The print looks really cool but quite dominating so I did not want to make the clothes look too much. I had tough time to decide what kind of clothes I want to make out of this fabric since I just bought it in spur of the moment because it looked cool.

 The fabric has a lot of stretch to it so it is really comfortable on.

The top has grey real leather on the shoulders and back. I had bought the leather piece around 3 years ago from Eurokangas. I think they were 50 €/kg so not too cheap. I think I'd still accessorize this top with long necklace.

 I made the dress look really simple so that I can wear it with belts. Maybe I should have been more creative with this dress but I was only thinking what would be nice and simple to wear while running errands.

Current obsessions

I've been looking lots of picture through Pinterest for ideas and I really want to make a jacket with harness detail. Again with my harness fixation. The shape of the jacket should be quite simple so that the focus point would be the details. The fabric could be some kind of wool and acrylic blend.  I better start sketching something.

I think I should finish my winter coat before I start new jacket project. I better get a big cup of vanilla tea and start working.

Silver is the new black

I made a beanie for me out of a piece of cotton jersey where I tried screen printing few months ago. I didn't want this piece of fabric to go waste so I used it quite usefully I would say since it is soon that that when I might really need one. The print is in silver so it goes great with my new hair color.

The print is a collaboration project with Bones & Lilies. There is tops and tote bags with this print available at my Etsy store.

Bella Morte outfit

Last night's party outfit for Bella Morte. Bella Morte was held at bar Doris in Tampere. I have never been there before. Usually Bella Morte has been held somewhere else.

As you can see my hair color has changed a lot. It was a pain in my ass trying to get the orange Elumen off my hair. I really like my "granny" hair. It still has small portions a very light blond in it. That will be fixed in time. I must say this has been my ultimate dream hair color.  Now every time I walk past the mirror I have to stop and admire my hair. But it looks so weird after having that orange hair for so long.
