Left overs

My closet cleaning continues. 

More clothing that I have put together out of left over fabrics.

Spikey top with under-wires. I have made a dress with the same cut before. I liked the hole under the bust so much I just had to make a top with it. The spikes are acrylic and are hand sown.

I like making tops and dresses with the under-wires because they are a challenge to me. So many things can go wrong and the fit will be off. The learning process never ends..

The fabrics are originally from Muotineule Oy which is a wholesale store that I used to work at. 

Of course the backside has my "signature hole" on it.

In the past I have made a 2 shrugs out of this fabric and this what was left out of those projects. I made this top to be worn on top of a simple black jersey dress. Super simple and loose but or course I would accessorize it with a long necklace and earrings.

Plaid day

I've been trying to use fabrics that have been in my closet longer than a month. I still have few fabric that I have just bought because they were cheap. I really need to do some brainstorming so that I'm able to make something great out of them.

 

I've had this left over plaid fabric since spring when I had my crazy plaid phase. There was just enough fabric left to make this dress. I know you have seen this shape before from me but I really love the "sleeves". I think that this dress would look reat with studded belt to give it slight punk feel to it.

I would love to make something similar from black wetlook jersey. I'll make it when I find the right fabric for the project.

26th December outfit

We were going to go eat at Mr. Grumby's grandma's place. I didn't want to wear anything too tight since there was lots of food to be eaten before we would get to come back home. 

All this eating is killing me. It is insane how much one person eats on Christmas and the following week. I think I should start going to the gym again.

Back to work

Did everybody have a nice Christmas?

Here's some of my favorite items that I got from my Christmas presents. The rest have either been already eaten or are already in use. The candy store jar we had to refill since we kinda already ate almost all of them.

For some reason everything seems to be silver.

I'm really loving my crown headband that was made by Mr. Grumpy's big sister.

Jewelry since you can never have too many necklaces. This necklace is made by one of my favorite Etsy sellers. It is real silver and is handmade.

Antler set was given to me by Misantrella and I already used them few times now. 

I've had few days of being lazy and eating chocolate as much as I possibly can. But I think that it is time to get back to my usual routine.

Oh yes I did it.
I made a white harness for me!

The shape is same as one that Didi Ou bought from me around a year ago. She has been using it like crazy so I had to make one for me too.

Little late

Vintage

 I just had to make these earrings for you. I have few pair of these at Ateljeekatu but I'm also going to list them to Etsy. They are partly made out of recycled materials. The leather is real.

Please don't kill me. I know that it is beige but I think that it looks super cute.

I like the fact that the print looks like vintage lace and jewels. I wanted to keep the shape simple since the print already has so much going on. I think it is a great party dress for me. Maybe I should make a beige ruffle vest to go with it?

Ruffles

So many ruffles... O__O

I know some of you might have seen this type of ruffle vest in my TAFF outfit post that I wore while selling my items in there. I really loved that vest so I decided to make more even thought they are pain in my butt to make since they are quite slow to make. But they do look great so it is worth all the trouble. 

Would you like for me to make them for sale?

I'm really loving this plum-red. This is not the only item that I have made using this color and more is coming. Yes you heard right. I said using color. I think it looks great with my hair color and of course my new MAC lipstick.

The fabric is Mallorca satin cotton with a slight stretch from Eurokangas. Price: 14,90 €/meter. I really like using this fabric since Eurokangas has it in quite many colors. This vest would look great in any color. For some weird reason I would like to make it in beige too.. eww.. I don't even like beige. Does that shock you too?

Okay lets forget what I just said about the beige and just look at the pretty pictures.
