Current obsessions

I've been looking lots of picture through Pinterest for ideas and I really want to make a jacket with harness detail. Again with my harness fixation. The shape of the jacket should be quite simple so that the focus point would be the details. The fabric could be some kind of wool and acrylic blend.  I better start sketching something.

I think I should finish my winter coat before I start new jacket project. I better get a big cup of vanilla tea and start working.

Silver is the new black

I made a beanie for me out of a piece of cotton jersey where I tried screen printing few months ago. I didn't want this piece of fabric to go waste so I used it quite usefully I would say since it is soon that that when I might really need one. The print is in silver so it goes great with my new hair color.

The print is a collaboration project with Bones & Lilies. There is tops and tote bags with this print available at my Etsy store.

Bella Morte outfit

Last night's party outfit for Bella Morte. Bella Morte was held at bar Doris in Tampere. I have never been there before. Usually Bella Morte has been held somewhere else.

As you can see my hair color has changed a lot. It was a pain in my ass trying to get the orange Elumen off my hair. I really like my "granny" hair. It still has small portions a very light blond in it. That will be fixed in time. I must say this has been my ultimate dream hair color.  Now every time I walk past the mirror I have to stop and admire my hair. But it looks so weird after having that orange hair for so long.

Keeping it simple

This morning I decided to spend my time making a necklace out out of this pyramid thingy. They are a part of a wrist watch that I bought from my trip to Estonia. Of course I had to shorten the watch because my wrist is really small. But that was a good thing for me because now I was able to make this out of the left over pieces.

 I was thinking of putting some beads to the chain but ended but keeping it simple. I think it looks great the way it is but what do you think? I really like making something new out of recycled materials. You give it another life that way.

I've had this fabric a while from my old work place Muotineule Oy which is a fabric wholesale store in Orivesi. It has snake skin print on it so it has that little something to make it special. I think this fabric was around 16.90 €/meter. Of course I got it cheaper because I was an employee. At that time I did not know what I would make out of it so I bought only 1 meter. And that is the reason why this thing does not have any sleeves. So now it is a vest. I would have been able to make mini sleeves but ended up not putting them on to it because it looked better without. 

I had planned putting more shorter zippers to the vest but they did not look as good as I had hoped. I think I still might add little something metal to the vest as soon as I find out what that something will be. Also I still need to add small hook to the front so that it stays closed while worn. 

(Don't mind that the vest does not sit well on the mannequin since the vest is a bit too big for it.)

House of the flying needles

Finally my Etsy store is starting to pick up steam and sell some Rogue products.

This thing was so frustrating to make I can tell you that. 

Needles were flying every where. I don't even know how many times stabbed myself with a needle. Yes I said stabbed 'cause that what it felt like. It was horrifying to try this thing on while I had my hair dye on my head. Multitasking is a bitch. So what did we learn? Nothing.

All that to side I think the finished harness looks great. Going with the satin elastic was a right choice. I really like how it shines. I had to sew some elastic vertically to the sides and back so that the spacing would stay even when worn.

 I made this last week and remembered to take a picture of it now. It is also made out of satin elastic. I have few of these for sale. They are sold as one piece and not a pair. I don't think it needs a pair to look complete. These are 12 € + shipping a piece.

More spiky jewelry!  

2 different type of earrings and one necklace. I wanted to keep them very simple for no apparent reason. The spikes are acrylic so they aren't too heavy to be worn on your ear. 

 Earrings are 15 and 10 € a pair and necklace is 8 €.

Underwire goes haywire

I wanted to make one for a while now. 

In TAFF my friend started talking that she would want something like this but more burlesque with swarovski crystals so that it will be exxxxxtra glittery.

 I had been planing to make this kind of harness in the spring but I just forgot about it. (that seems to happen a lot for me) So I decided to make one for me and the burlesque version for my friend is still unfinished because I need to wait for the glue to dry . I'm still making nipple pasties to go with it. I'll post pics as soon as that set is done. *Iiiks* I can't wait for it to be done. It would be suitable for any burlesque show.

I'm going to wear my version on to of a top or a dress. 

The harness has actual underwire in it. I as really lucky to find the same kind of fastener that are used in normal bras. They just happen to be quite expensive. It ended up looking really good and I can't wait to get to use it. I just had to add few spikes even thought it is already quite edgy. 

I don't care.

Today's mystery

I wanted head band like this one for months now. 

I wasn't able to buy one from Ebay. First the shipping costs would have been 20USD and then they were out of stock. So I decided to make one myself once again. 

I bought 3 packs of the pyramid studs from Kangazungel which is located in Estonia. The studs were 10 pieces for 1.00€. I went to Estonia before I mowed to my current apartment so that's why I've had these for few months now. I totally forgot I was supposed to make this out of them.

Here is a pic of the few head bands that I have made in last 3 months. Would you be interested to know more about what is hiding in my closet and how I combine my clothes with store bought ones?
