Spine jacket

My jacket project from few days ago. I didn't have the time to post pictures about it earlier. I have no idea where all my time has gone. I think this will be great for fall weathers since I did make the jacket so that it is fully lined.

I used the same pleating technique than last week on my projects. I used some left over fabric that I had. I hope I would have had more so that I would have been able to fill the whole back with the pleating. I decided to make pockets to the jacket to add something but they are not real just pockets and can not be used. 

Sadly the fabric had some defects on it because it was the end of a fabric roll. Good thing the fabric has such obscure print so that you are really not able to see the defects. The fabric is from Tekstiilipalvelu. I think they had this fabric in two other colors. The other one was really nice wine red and the print was in black. I have no memory of the price. I think next time I go there I really need to buy the red one since it was so pretty color. I have no idea what I could make out of it but I think I would figure something out when the time comes.

Because the front has the metal zipper I felt the back side also needed some metal details thereby I added the flat round studs. I would have liked to add small zippers to the the cuffs but since I did not have them at home I felt too lazy to ride my bicycle to the store yet again. I really should write everything down that I need to buy from fabric stores and remember to actually look at the notes while I'm there.

I started my winter coat project today so that I'll be ready for colder weathers when they come. The coat will be grey wool and black real leather with big loose collar. We'll see next week how my project ends.

Also I bought today black fabric for my second pleated dress project. This one will be black and I will have slightly different shape. I have no idea when I'll have time to start it but hopefully tomorrow or Sunday. Tomorrow again I'll be at Ateljeekatu if somebody wants to visit.

Headbands!

This morning I decided to make headbands that I did no have time to make for Lumous Dark Market. So here they are. They are embroidered and sewn on to the headband. I only have 1 on each but I can make more upon a request. The headbands don't sit well for the mannequin head because it is smaller than normal sized woman's head.

The skully takes the most time to make so that's why it is the most expensive version.

 The butterfly version is much cuter. So if you like to dress up cutely this is for you.

 The bat version is for those goth girls that really like lace and bats. Well this has both.

Makeup pouch

I made this small pouch for me to use inside my hand bag for mirror, makeup etc..

The print is silver and the fabric is 100 % cotton. This was actually harder to make than I thought.

 I know I made the purse a while back but I made this using a slightly different pattern and technique.

I think I could make few of these for sale in somebody is interested. I could also make them in different sizes and different prints.

I think I should make another version of the Ouija handbag with more room and few pockets inside.

Steampunk day

I made this steampunk themed hair clip for me to wear in TAFF: Tampere Fetish Factory event. I'll be selling my products there so be sure to be there.

For this hair clip I used most random stuff that mom brought me for this project. I painted them with copper colored acrylic paint. The button was from a vintage dress that I remember seeing at my home when I was a child.

I still have small amount of this snake print fake leather so I could do few to be sold at TAFF. I just need to find more random stuff to make them even more cool looking.

 I wanted to make a dress with a simple cut so that I could use the buckles. I had mane buckles that did not have a pair so I was a great chance to use them. In the top part I used weird metal thing and I have no idea what it is supposed to be but it looks cool so who cares. 

There is a zipper in the back to help putting the dress on. I did not want to make the dress too short because I need to be able to sit for hours in this dress. 

 I made this steampunk themed vest for sale. The vest does not fit the mannequin properly because the mannequin does not have arms or proper shoulders. The vest is supposed to fit loosely on the shoulders but not as much as on the mannequin. There is small snap hooks on the sides.

Tops for fall?

Well not really since they are not warm enough to be worn when the weathers get colder but I did them anyways. I can always wear them with a cardigan.

Well fall subjects put to side I made new tops again. Who would have guessed? And of course with "slight" harness/bondage details.

I made the black one first but then I liked the shape of it so much that I made a second one with slight changes. The straps are fake leather that I had bought from Karnalux from Estonia. I just ordered the last 100 meters of this strap from there so that I won't run out as fast as last time.

I bought this sliver/grey/black fabric from Abakhan fabrics which is also located in Estonia. I really like their fabrics and especially the prices aren't too high. This fabric happened to be in mixed fabrics bin.  I still have small piece of this left so we will see what I'll create out of it. I has no idea what it will turn into.

So I made this black version from left over fabric from my previous dress projects. 

I had to but a seam in the top front part because I didn't have enough fabric left.

Fall is coming

I know it is sad that summer went so fast yet again.. And what's even more sad I spend most of my time indoors. Okay I was doing what I like but still so sad.

Well we can't run from the fact that fall is coming and I need to start thinking about fall clothing. This nice knitted grey fabric is from Eurokangas 14,90 €/meter. I wanted to make really simple cardigan to wear on to of my awesome tops.

I do have many cardigans that have the same cut but not in grey. They all happen to be surprise surprise black so I wanted to do something different well at least something different for me.

They are so easy to wear and they look cool open or with a belt on top.

I did put small spikes on the shoulders so that it does not look all that boring. They are acrylic and are hand sewn. I had trouble deciding between silver and gunmetal spikes but as you can see I ended up choosing the silver spikes.

Out of the left over fabric I made 2 beanies like this. I already sold one at Ateljeekatu and the other one is still waiting for a buyer in there. Price: 15 €

Spine skirt and new product

I ended up making the skirt that I said I would. I wanted to make it out of black cotton jersey but Eurokangas had none of quality that I needed. So I used something that I already had in my storage.  The fabric has slight snake skin type surface. I had bought this fabric from Euronkangas on my previous visit to there. I really like the finished skirt and I'm glad I ended up using this fabric and not just regular black fabric. The fabric slightly looks like leather in the finished product. 

This skit was much faster to make since I make the pleats wider than in the grey dress. In the dress they were 1 cm wide and in this on they are 1.5 cm. I took around 1,5 hours to make the pleats in the skirt. Of course the skirt is much shorted than the dress so I did not have to do as many pleats anyways. But when you make the pleats wider it much faster but also not as awesome. But I think the skirt ended up looking amazing and I can't wait to be able to wear it in public.

There is small zipper in the back to help putting the skirt on. I also putted 3 cm wide rubber band in the waist to stiffen it. I wanted the waist to have slight stretch.

I really want to make a jacket with this technique since I have not yet bulled my hair out. But that happens to mean new trip to Euronkangas before I go to Ateljeekatu today. I'll be there till 17.00 if you want to visit.
