More sneak peeks

 Yesterday I went fore a bike trip to Ideapark in Lempäälä with Mr. Grumpy. 

Ideapark is about 16,5 kilometers away from out apartment. Not too long way but the road is quite bumpy and it is mostly uphill the whole way there. Good thing we left around 9.00 in the morning so that it wasn's too hot yet. The way home was horrible since I had a terrible headache even thought I had been drinking water whole morning.

I was finally able to find Fimo soft crafting mass. The black small packets seemed to be out of stock everywhere. Well I was not able to buy a small packet but the larger ones were on sale -20%. I did not even notice that before I was at the cashiers. So it was a nice surprise. 

I made these small antlers. And now I'm thinking of using them in the fashion show next week. Then I better make two pairs more of these. Maybe even different sizes. 

I painted the black antlers with silver acrylic paint to make them look more "real". Also I made small scratches with a sewing pin for the same purpose. I really like the finished product. I have never used Fimo or anything similar so this was very experimental project.

Making it new

I bought this used white T-shirt from Misantrella a week ago at the flea market in Sorsapuisto. The shirt cost only 2 € even thought it seemed to be unused. I decided to put the Ouija print to it to make it more me. It is nice to make something old or used all new and wearable. 

This morning I renewed a chiffon blouse and a organza blouse that I had bought from second hand store Helga neiti and the other one was from Tii. I cut the sleeves of and made the blouses smaller. 

I still have few unused H&M tops that I bought last week. They were 2,90 € a piece. I just need to make new screens for the prints. I haven't even done the prints yet or bought the frames.

I think I would like the other one to be some kind of Egypt/Illuminati type and the other one could be an occult one.

Flea market day!

Today I'll be attending the Sorsapuisto flea market again. Prices are even lower than last week so if you did not come last week now is your chance. I'll be selling clothes, shoes, jewelry, accessories and manga books. Hopefully I'll sell some stuff and get more space in my closet.

These are little something I made out of the leftover fabric when I made the dress last week. Two different kinds of tops in size S. The fabric is polyester satin. The lower one is one sale at Ateljeekatu.

If I'm lucky I might be able to find more of this fabric.

So this one is on sale at Ateljeekatu. So go and find it because yet again. I do not have more of this fabric so it is one of a kind.

Saturday mornings

This amazing harness is made out of fake leather. It is slightly adjustable under the bust and around the neck. It has small buckles on the sides to help but it on and adjusting the size. And in the back of the neck these is small lacing. 

I have few of these in size S in stock ready to be shipped out. Fits best when the circumference under the bust is 68-73 cm. Can also be made in bigger size.

I decided to make new harness for me but since it looks so nice I decided to share it with you guys. 

I have only small amount left this leather strap left so I not able to make many of this but I'm trying to search more strap asap.

Planing ahead

Big news! 

Rogue by Tiina Ulkuniemi mini collection is going to be shown at Tampere Tapahtumien yö. Ateljeekatu is having a fashion show at Kehräsaari. 

Gringos locos has agreed to borrow their terrace to be our stage. 

The show will be 7.8.2014. I not yet sure what time, but I'm guessing around 18.00. 

Here's a little peek what will be shown on my mini collection.

I'm telling you it is horrible to try something on in this heat that is made out of fake leather and is floor length. And trying not to pin yourself to the dress in the process.

Alexander Mcqueen

Last Saturday's outfit. Dress is made out of viscose jersey by Alexander Mcqueen. 

I found this beautiful fabric from Eurokangas but it was so limited that there were only 5 pieces of this fabric and I was able to buy 2 of them. So very expensive. Probably the most expensive fabric that I have ever bought. 

I happened to come a cross a website where I saw that this fabric was used in one of Alexander Mcqueen's collections and this dress was 1600 €!!!    

 

So I made this dress + shorter version, a top and 2 beanies for me and Mr. Grumby. I wanted to keep the dress very simple since the fabric already has so much going on. I forgot to take a picture of the back side.

Too hot days

It has been really few hot summer days. I know I should be enjoying them but instead I sit in door even thought I have absolutely not interest on sewing something or being creative. Too hot to even think. I'm obviously in dire need of some ice cream. Maybe I really should take a few days of and enjoy the sun. 

Today I went to Ikea by bicycle. I was afraid to get sun burned. And the result is the same like every other summer. Only my arms, back and face gets tanned and my legs are white. I went to Ikea to buy candles for my new candle holder I that I found yesterday at a park flea market. These candle holders were only 2 € for both!!! I rarely find something as cool as this at flea markets. 

I know that H&M Home has very similar kind ones if you are interested. And if somebody does not already know you can find H&M Home at Ideapark in Lempäälä or of course the H&M web store.

I was with my friends trying to sell some old clothes at there. But only actual stuff got sold. It was too hot for people to try clothes on. And obviously our target audience was not there since there ere lots of people with their their small children.

Other flea market find was this jewelry stand. It was also a really nice price. 2,50 € for it does not sound too bad for me. Slowly but surely our flat is coming together. Almost all the furniture have been 50-60 % off since all most all furniture stores have had summer sales.

And then other things.

White one is size XS and grey one is size S but size they are really loose fitting the XS will fit M and the S will fit up to L. Both are cotton tricot. Both T-shits are on sale 15 € + shipping!

More ouija stuff

I really should write better headlines for new posts.. :D It is so not my forte. I've been using my time on decorating our apartment. We actually have now curtains in every window. Today I'll be making a trip to Ikea to get a table for mister Grumpy's computer. There's still lots to do since I would like to DIY some of the decorations so that I will fell more like my home. 

I actually already made one lamp out of a bird cage. The bird cage has small owls on the sides so they reflect shadows on the wall really nicely. I'm dreaming of making some kind of headboard for our bed. I just need to find a fabric that is not white because my hair will make it look yellow and we really don't want that. I want the fabric to have at least some kind of print on it. But mostly the problem lies with the fact that most of the fabrics are 150 cm wide and the headboard needs to be 160 cm + extra that you need to actually be able to staple the fabric on to the board. So the print need be neutral so that that the fabric can be used horizontally.

 I'll be posting picture of the whole apartment when we are finally done.  I don't know when that will be, but hopefully soon. 

Enough about that. I have new Ouija products again. Ouija printed tops in sizes S-L and tote bags that measure 30 cm x 40 cm.

Newspaper

I've always been interested in using newspaper printed fabrics. I've had these fabrics for a long time because I've been saving them. But I decided that it was time to share them with you guys.

This top is one of a kind and it is size S. I will not be able to make more since there is now more fabric. You can request this top in other colors. I'll be selling this sample top price for it is 70 € + shipping

I have 3 of these new paper printed corsets. They have spiral steel boning inside. Normal lacing in the back. 

All three are size 24" I will not be able to make more with this print.

You might have seen this picture few months ago with the same lacing in the front than these new ones. This corset is sold out since there is no more of this fabric. I really hate that I'm not able to made many pieces of my products since most of these fabrics are found at Eurokangas and most are too expensive or they are found from fabric bins or the store only has one roll of that fabric and they are not going to have more of it.

Here's one pic of one customer order that I made about a year ago to my friend. She is also wearing a custom made harness on top of the dress. The fabric was from customers own closet.  But I have had this fabric also few years ago and made few tops for sale from it. I wish I still had this fabric since it is very stretchy viscose tricot. I would have so much use for it.

TAFF

Very short post this time. Not really since all my posts are short. 

I'll be selling my products at TAFF = Tampere Fetish Factory 

I'm planing on making some kind of steampunk vests. I'm not yet sure what kin they are going to be. We shall see...
 Again you can only pay with cash since I do not have card device thingy. :D

One of a kind.

Yesterday I went for a walk with mister grumpy in Tampere Arboretum park that is very near to our apartment. I did not know that this place even existed. I took this chance to take some pictures of this one of a kind dress that I made last monday. 

I really love this fabric. The print is awesome on my opinion. The shades of grey almost look metallic. Good thing I still have small piece of it so that I'm able to do a top out of it. 

The dress fits best size M or smaller. (belt not included) 

So let me be clear. I have only this one dress and I will not be able to a second one since I'm not able to get more of this fabric. So grab this chance to get one of my one of a kind items.

Etsy products, fleamarket and closet cleaning.

 Finally I have listed more items to to Etsy for sale. There are products that have been a collaborative project with blogger Bones & Lilies. Also there is lots of my own products for sale. Buy fast since some of the items are limited.

I should do some closet cleaning and sell some items from my own collection since I still have lots of items to buy for the apartment. 

Good thing I made small but really nice flea market find yesterday.  The mirror frame was originally copper colored but not for long... It cost only 1 €. There was a second one identical to this one but I decided to buy only one. Now I keep thinking maybe I should have bought that one too. 

These lovely shoes that I bought today are so gorgeous. And they were on sale and in my size. Usually when items are in sale 41 is the first one to be out of stock so I rarely get to buy shoes that are on sale. Usually my shoes have lots and lots of studs and spikes so it is nice to have one pretty looking pair in my closet.

 

Lastly this is something I've been working on yesterday. It is made out of faux leather with small buckles in the sizes so you can adjust the size. It does not fit well my mannequin because the mannequin is oddly shaped. :(

Lumous and other things

Lots of new products!

New apartment and no furniture. Thank god I have a table for the sewing machine so I'm able to do some work in this mess. I still need ceiling lamp. Good thing is that it is summer and the sun is shining  so that it is not too dark in my "office". We still need kitchen table, couch, table for mister Grumpy to use for his computer on, grill for our balcony and more lamps and carpets. My money goes bye bye...

Last Saturday was Lumous Dark Market and many of you bought my products from my table.  It was a long day after a long night of partying but I managed to wake up early enough. Some headbands, jewelry, tops and tote bags were sold. 

It was so so so nice to see many of you wearing my clothes, jewelry or accessories in Lumous. It was such an honor. Many people that bought items from me on Saturday wore them on Saturday evening or on Sunday at the Gothnic (picnic).

Finally the tops, skirts and tote bag that I have made with Bones & Lilies are ready to be shipped out for you guys. I will put them to Etsy for sale but you can also buy them by sending me a message on my Facebook page or be emailing me. 

Then some new products. Embroidered hair clips. Only 6 € + shipping a piece!

Also embroidered lace necklaces. This butterfly costs 20 € + shipping and the bat is 15 € + shipping. You can also request either piece on a headband since they would look super awesome.
